Germany at UNITY '08 Convention of Journalists

Opportunity, Knowledge, Inspiration

Unity inspires all of us.

This month, nearly 10,000 journalists and media executives will come together in Chicago for UNITY '08, the largest gathering of journalists of color. News industry professionals will discuss the timely issues affecting journalism and the media industry today. For those gathering in Chicago, unity describes a strategic coalition, a forum for journalists of color to advocate for news coverage and for newsroom staffing that reflect America’s diversity.

For Germans, Unity means the peaceful reunification of Germany after the fall of the Berlin Wall. It also signifies the enlargement and further unification of Europe.

Therefore, Germany feels quite at home with a booth at UNITY '08, reaching out to journalists.

We would like to seize this occasion and share with you the opportunities available for American journalists to study and work in Germany, the wealth of knowledge about Germany available on our website, Germany.info, and the many points of inspiration that make Germany the Land of Ideas.
